Faith is moving out.
Since she broke the news to us this morning, pretty much I was asking myself on where I went wrong. Perhaps I lacked as a “mother” and that pushed her to move out. As the “in-charge” since time immemorial every time our parents had some errands to do, I took it as my personal commitment to devote myself as my younger siblings’ mother. Her decision quite took a toll on me.
Perhaps I got used during the quarantine when they were all here at home and I can’t seem to muster the courage to let her go.
Pre-covid, she was already staying in Bacolod for school. And I would look forward to weekends when I can cook simple meals for them. I don’t know why, this time around, it feels like it’s for good. Perhaps I know, that this time around, she is more capable and mature and can tend to herself.
So, to my God-given Faith:
